Rebels Announce Partnership With North Lake County Soccer Association
| |  | | | Sharon Ruiz, the operations coordinator for the Northern Illinois Rebels of the American Indoor Soccer League, announced this morning the first-year club has entered into a partnership agreement with the North Lake County Soccer Association.
Carlos Iniesta, president and Margaro Soto, vice president of the NLCSA are both very happy with the agreement, saying “We like the idea of giving local talent the opportunity to play at the professional level. The Rebels are opening the doors to young skilled players from the NLCSA league to succeed.”
Two NLCSA alumni, Jose Gavilanes and Alex Flores will be starting with the Rebels this season. Both played for Nacion Aztlan in the NLCSA’s “Mayor” Division.
The NLCSA is the largest adult soccer league in the Lake County area, and play their indoor season at the Lake County Soccer Center, where the Rebels will play their AISL game this winter. It is affiliated with the Illinois State Soccer Association.
