Feel the Rumble!! Rockford Rampage Announces Logo, Ticket Prices
| | | | | The American Indoor Soccer League’s Rockford franchise, which made it all the way to the league’s championship game in their first season, announced this morning that it will have a completely new look for the 2007-08 season.
The club will unveil a new name for the new season, changing from the Thunder to the Rockford Rampage. The team’s new logo will feature a charging rhinoceros on a black shield, trimmed in lime green.
“We felt that we needed a new name to avoid confusion with the women’s pro softball team,” said team president Oscar Albuquerque. “When Rich (AISL director of media relations Rich Paschette) proposed Rampage as our new team name, I liked it right away. The idea of “Rampage” is one that we believe in as a team, as we plan on ‘Rampaging” to the AISL championship title this season.”
The team colors of lime green, rhino gray, and black mirror those of Fat Wallet, the Rampage’s primary sponsor.
A sheet with the Rampage’s logo and wordmark is attached to this release.
Albuquerque also announced that tickets for the Rampage this season will be $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for youth under 18. They are available through the team office, which can be contacted at (877) 507-5840 or (847) 630-9034, and at the team’s new home arena, the Victory Sports Complex. The arena is located at 7003 North Alpine Rd in Loves Park. Their phone number is (847) 282-1697.
The Rampage will open the 2007-08 season on November 3rd, when they face the Cincinnati Excite at the Game Time Training Center in Cincinnati. They will open the home portion of the campaign on Saturday night, November 17th at 7:30PM when they host the defending AISL champion Massachusetts Twisters.
