Libera Takes Over The Reins

Massachusetts Twisters General Manager Bill Bullock announces today the hiring of Rob Libera as the new Head Coach for the Massachusetts Twisters for the 2007-08 season.

Libera, a Chicopee native has spent the last ten years on the field for the Twisters. Stepping off the field and moving behind the bench Libera will be taking over a team that won the AISL Championship just a season ago.

"Robbie is one of the original Twisters, and was a work horse for us on the field and I know that will carry over to coaching as well" said owner Paul LaPointe.

Last season the Twisters finished with a record of 8 – 5 with 25 points, finishing in first place in the regular season and went on to beat Rockford in the AISL Championship Game by a score of 11- 5 in front of 1,700 plus.

"I am really looking forward to this opportunity, we have a great bunch of guys and I can't wait to get started" said Libera.

The Twisters will begin their quest to repeat for the 2007-08 AISL Championship starting on the road for the first three games and opening up at the Coliseum on December 1st 2007.
