Excite Getting Busy Over the Next Two Weeks!!!

In preparation for the start of their fourth season, the American Indoor Soccer League’s Cincinnati Excite will be quite busy over the next two weeks as they fine tune their roster for their home opener on Saturday night, November 3rd at the Game Time Training Center.

Next Saturday, the Excite will make an appearance at the new Hamilton Crossings mall, which is located on Route 4, one mile north of Route 129 in Hamilton. Excite players will be in attendance from 10AM to 2PM, greeting their fans, signing autographs, and sharing soccer tips with the young soccer players who stop by.

On Saturday, October 20th, the Excite will travel up to Detroit to face the Ignition at High Velocity Sports in Canton, MI. This will mark the second straight year that the Excite have faced the Ignition, who won the Major Indoor Soccer League’s regular season championship in April.

The next day, the Excite will take a three hour trip across Michigan to Grand Rapids, where they will face the Grand Rapids Toros at the Woodland SportPlex. This game will serve to test Grand Rapids as a potential home for an AISL expansion franchise. AISL league management has had preliminary discussions with a local group that has shown interest in joining the league, potentially for the 2008-09 season.

Finally, the Excite will return back to the friendly confines of the Game Time Training Center on Saturday, October 27th, where they will play in a benefit match to raise money for Peruvian earthquake relief efforts. Admission to this special event, which kicks off at 2PM, is simply a donation to the relief effort fund.

After that game, Excite players will make an appearance at Dave and Busters location at I-275 and Route 747 in Springdale. Door prizes will be given away between 4PM and 8PM.

The Excite will open their 2007-08 American Indoor Soccer League season on November 3rd at 7:30PM, when they host the Rockford Rampage at the Game Time Training Center (530C Quality Blvd in Fairfield). Tickets are available by calling the team office at (513) 682-1117, via the team’s website at www.cincinnati-excite.com, or at the Game Time box office the day of the game.
