Rebels to Host Waukegan Soccer League Champ This Saturday Night
The American Indoor Soccer League’s Northern Illinois announced this morning that they will be hosting the Cosmos, the champion of the Waukegan Soccer League in a pre-season exhibition Saturday night, November 3rd at the Lake County Sports Center. Kickoff will be at 7PM.
The importance of this match is two-fold. First, it will be a final tune-up for the Rebels, who will play their first game in the AISL on Saturday, November 10th. Second, it will serve as a fundraiser for Rebels player Noel Galeano. Galeano suffered a season-ending injury while practicing with the team, and will have surgery at the end of the month.
Admission to the exhibition match will be $5.00.
The Rebels will open their inaugural AISL campaign on Saturday November 10th at 7:30 when they face the Rockford Rampage at the Lake County Sports Center (351 Oakwood Ave) in Waukegan.
