Excite Finishes Homestand With a 10-6 Win Over Rebels

  
 
The Cincinnati Excite finished their season opening three game homestand with a 10-6 win over the Northern Illinois Rebels at the Game Time Training Center last night.

Excite forward Matt Brienes, coming off a five-goal performance last week, scored three goals in this contest. Julio Falconi added two goals for the Excite as well.

Rebels defender/assistant coach Sinisa Alebic scored two goals for the Rebels and added another first in the Rebels’ history books as he scored the franchise’s first two-point goal in the fourth quarter. Midfielder Emmanuel Torres also scored two goals for the Rebels.

Jim Adams, who also had two assists in the game, picked up the win in goal for the Excite. Ahmed Hassan takes the loss for the Rebels.

Both teams will have next weekend off for the Thanksgiving holiday and will face each other on Saturday, December 1st at the Lake County Sports Center.
