Excite Hold Off Revolution 5-4 in Tulsa Tonight

The Cincinnati Excite ruined the hopes of the Tulsa soccer fans tonight as they would come out on the long end of a 5-4 nailbiter over the Revolution in front of a lively crowd of 664 at Soccer City Tulsa in the Revs’ inaugural game.

“I’m thrilled with the turnout tonight, and it reinforces my faith in the soccer community in Tulsa,” said team president Adam Mellor after the game. “Although we lost, I think that we built a solid base on which to build upon for the rest of the season and the future.

The Revolution will return to the field next Saturday night when they will host the league leading Rockford Rampage at Soccer City Tulsa with kickoff scheduled for 7:30PM. The Excite will return to the Game Time Training Center next Saturday night when they host the Northern Illinois Rebels at 7:30PM
