Twisters to Host “Children’s Miracle Network Night” This Saturday

For the second straight year, the American Indoor Soccer League’s Massachusetts Twisters are proud to help support the Children’s Miracle Network at Baystate Children’s Hospital along with WMAS-FM 94.7.

This Saturday night, when the Twisters host the Northern Illinois Rebels at the Eastern States Coliseum, a dollar from each ticket sold will be donated to the WMAS-FM Radiothon for the Children’s Miracle Network.

“We are so proud to be a part of the efforts to raise money for the CMN,” said Twisters owner Paul Lapointe. “When you see how much good even a small donation can do, it makes it all seem worthwhile. We at the Twisters salute the work done by the CMN and the staff of WMAS-FM.”

WMAS-FM will be hosting their seventh annual Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon starting at 6AM Thursday, March 6th, and running through 4PM Saturday, March 8th. During that period, members of the 94.7 airstaff will be interviewing families, patients, and staff of Baystate Children’s Hospital about how the Children’s Miracle Network has enriched their lives.

The Children’s Miracle Network is an organization charged with saving and improving the lives of children through its network of 170 hospitals in the United States and Canada. CMN hospitals treat over 17 million children every year, and provide over two billion dollars worth of charitable care every year.

Last year's 94.7 WMAS Radiothon for Children's Miracle Network raised over $200,000! The money raised through the Radiothon helps fund pediatric research, patient care, education and advocacy at Baystate Children's Hospital in Springfield, Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware and Baystate Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice.
